It's amazing that in a relatively short span of time Pittsburgh's mills and blast furnaces built an entire city and then broke every man in it. Carrie Furnace is only accessible in advance through the organization that owns it. They've left it as is (thank God) and intend to keep it stable enough to last as an industrial museum.
